Sohail and Mohisha collaborated with ‘Let Us Be One Social Group’ an NGO, to organise a special event celebrating the primary school students achievements and the PSAC exams. The event was held at Goodlands Farmers Centre, Mauritius in June 2024, brought together over 6 primary schools in the region of Poudre d’Or and Grand Bay, the north of Mauritius.
The event was attended by Hon Avinash Teeluck, Minister of Arts and Cultural Heritage, who graced the occasion with his esteemed presence. Sohail and other members of STARS, had the honor of presenting various awards to the students, teachers and school in recognition of their achievements and accomplishments.
STARS is committed to the belief that education holds the power to unite communities and eradicate social disparities. The organisation views education as a fundamental tool for creating a more equitable society. The event served as a platform to not only celebrate the achievements of the students but also to showcase one of the core values of STARS – using education as a catalyst for positive change in the community.
Through events like these, STARS continues to inspire hope and drive positive change in the lives of children, paving the way for a brighter and more inclusive future.
As we reflect on this joyous occasion, we are reminded of the transformative power of education and the importance of recognizing and celebrating the achievements of our youth. STARS and Let Us Be One Social Group have set a shining example of how collaboration and a shared commitment to education can bring about meaningful change in our communities. Together, we can strive towards a more equitable and empowered society, where every child has the opportunity to fulfill their potential and shape a better tomorrow
